Fabio Silva is a systems programmer at the University of Southern California Information Sciences Institute. His research interests include scalable and distributed routing protocols in wireless sensor networks, low-power MAC protocols, and environmental monitoring applications and deployments using sensor networks. His experience includes developing and maintaining the Directed Diffusion routing protocol, implementing physical layers for the SCP-MAC protocol, and studying the use of rapidly deployable sensors for vehicle classification.
