Tony Fountain is the Director of the Knowledge and Information Discovery Lab (SKIDL) and a member of the National Laboratory for Advanced Data Research (NLADR) at the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC), University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on data mining, machine learning, and computational infrastructure for a variety of science and engineering applications. Of particular interest are applications in ecology and environmental science involving sensor networks, complex data analysis, and real-time decision support.
