Jim Ehleringer

Jim Ehleringer served as a member of the NEON Research Infrastructure Subcommittee in 2005. His research focuses on understanding terrestrial ecosystem processes through stable isotope analyses. Jim’s foci include gas exchange and biosphere-atmosphere interactions, water relations in arid land and urban ecosystems, and homeland security issues. He has served as editor-in-chief for Oecologia, chaired the Biosphere-Atmosphere Stable Isotope Network (Basin), and was involved in guiding the GCTE Project of the IGBP. He is at the University of Utah where he is a Distinguished Professor of Biology and serves as Director of the Stable Isotope Ratio Facility for Environmental Research (SIRFER).
