ESA Webcast Offers Q&A on NEON Education

The Ecological Society of America (ESA) will host a webcast on the educational and scientific uses of the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) on March 21, 2007. ESA Executive Director Katherine McCarter and Education Director Jason Taylor will open the session and brief attendees on the results of a recent ESA-sponsored survey focused on educational opportunities related to NEON science, including input from the ecological community on training needs and other issues associated with using NEON facilities and data. NSF Assistant Director (Directorate of Biological Sciences) James P. Collins and NEON CEO Dave Schimel will comment on the survey results and discuss its implications on the NEON planning process.
