NEON has completed civil construction at Disney Wilderness Preserve and Blandy Experimental Farm. Sensor deployment has begun on some sites; more coverage coming soon.
Ongoing Progress
NEON began construction of the observatory in Summer 2012. NEON sites under construction will fall along a spectrum in one of the following phases, and could occur out of numerical order:
- Civil construction
- Sensor installation, testing and acceptance
- Sensor system streaming data
- Release of organismal sampling protocols, acceptance of site-specific sampling design, and data collection started
- Site complete and data available

- Rocky Mountain National Park CASTNET (D10, CO): Starts approx. April 2013
