NEON Heading to San Francisco for AGU 2009

NEON staff will be speaking at town halls, presenting posters, manning the exhibit booth, and talking careers at the 2009 American Geophyisical Union Fall Meeting. Below is the full list of events NEON will be participating in. We hope to see you there!

  1. NEON Town Hall: "The Role of NSF's Environmental Observatories in Ecology and Earth Systems Science." Thursday Dec. 17, 7:30-8:30pm, Moscone West Room 2002. Will feature opening remarks from Dr. Timothy Killeen (NSF Assistant Director for Geosciences) and speakers from OOI, NCAR, CUAHSI, and NEON, and additional panelists from AON, GEON, and GLEON.
  2. Poster presentations by NEON staff: Staff will be presenting Dec 14-16, details in table below.
  3. NEON exhibit booth: All week at the exhibit hall. We're booth #335.
  4. Career networking events: (1) Short presentation by NEON staff and question and answer session from 10-11am Wednesday Dec 16 in the Student Lounge. (2) NEON staff will attend the Career Networking Event on Wednesday Dec 16 from 12:30-1:30pm in the Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Hotel.
