NEON Welcomes its First Founding Members

Fifteen institutions have been approved by the NEON, Inc. Board as the first Founding Members of the National Ecological Observatory Network. They are: University of Arizona, UCLA, University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Florida, Harvard University, University of Kansas, Kansas State University, University of New Hampshire, University of Notre Dame, University of Oklahoma, University of South Carolina, Science and Engineering Alliance (SEA), Utah State University, University of Washington, and Williams College. NEON welcomes additional applicants for both Founding and Institutional Memberships. For membership details and an application form, click here.

NEON is Gearing Up

On June 7, 2007, EarthForum posted information about NEON, including the list of candidate research sites, and opened an online discussion related to ecological observation.
