STEAC Member: Dr. Kathleen Treseder, University of California, Irvine

Dr. Kathleen Treseder is Associate Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, School of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Tresder received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University in 1999. Among her many academic distinctions, she serves on the Editorial Board of Ecological Applications; holds the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Fostering Undergraduate Research (UC-Irvine, 2005); and earned the Charles Ludwig Distinguished Teaching Award (School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pennsylvania, 2003). Dr. Treseder’s research interests include microbial biogeochemistry, ecosystem ecology, and global change. The Treseder Lab focuses on fungi, ecosystems, and global change. Current research projects include “Links between plant and fungal diversity in habitat fragments in coastal sage scrub” and “Dry season biogeochemistry of California ecosystems.”
