Dr. Christine Goodale is Assistant Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University. Her areas of expertise are acid rain, carbon sequestration, climate change, ecosystem ecology, forest ecosystems, global change, land-use change, nitrogen cycling, nitrogen retention, and watershed biogeochemistry. At the Goodale Forest Ecosystem Ecology Ecology Lab, Goodale and her students study how carbon, water, and nutrients cycle through forest ecosystems, and how these cycles are affected by human activities through factors such as air pollution (especially nitrogen deposition), climate chane, and land-use change.
